We provide 24-hour assisted living and frail care services in a safe, supportive environment where residents can maintain their dignity and independence while receiving the attention and medical support they need.

Our Story

Abbey Cross Lodge has been a place of care, comfort, and community since coming under new ownership and management on September 1st, 2006. Under the leadership of Chrizelle Brentot, Abbey Cross Lodge has grown into one of the most trusted names in assisted living and frail care, a home where residents are not only cared for but truly valued.

Chrizelle’s vision is rooted in a deep passion for improving the quality of life for every resident. With dedicated managers at each of our locations - Northriding, Ruimsig, and Mountainview - Abbey Cross Lodge ensures that every resident receives personal attention and consistent, high-quality care. Each branch is led by compassionate professionals who create a supportive, family-like environment.

Our approach to care combines professionalism with warmth, familiarity, and engagement. We’ve enhanced our facilities and programs to provide residents with more opportunities for stimulation, wellness, and joy. From Aromatherapy, Movement classes, and Biokinetics, to Pilates and Brain Gym. We also offer creative stimulation like painting, drawing, crafts, live music as well as physically and mentally stimulating games, Our daily activities promote strength, mobility, and cognitive vitality.

At Abbey Cross Lodge, nature plays an essential role in everyday life. Our organic vegetable gardens, flower beds, and animal companions like peacocks, parrots, chickens, companion pets and horses to even resident Egyptian geese create a serene, therapeutic environment that encourages connection and purpose.

Residents are invited to take part in daily routines and social activities such as baking, Bingo, scripture reading, and our lively ladies’ club. Music remains a cornerstone of our community, with residents and staff often singing hymns together creating a joyful, uplifting atmosphere.

Our caregivers and staff receive continuous training to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, empathy, and personal attention. Beyond exceptional care, we provide personal grooming services including manicures, pedicures, and facials ensuring residents not only feel well cared for but confident and comfortable.
